A new position has arisen for a Mechanical Construction Manager with my client, a main contractor with an MEP division experiencing solid growth within the market. Due to the increased development taking place in London, my client is seeking experienced professionals to add further value to their team.

Mechanical Construction Manager

As a Mechanical Construction Manager you will be part of all technical Mechanical related elements of the project.

You will be in charge of the site and deal with all H&S aspects and making sure all Sub-Contractors are in line with site safety guidelines.

In this you will be assisting the project manager with management and project reporting of all contractual and commercial aspects in relation to MEP as well as compiling requests for proposal briefing documents, selection and appointment of MEP design team consultants.

You will maintain good relationships with consultants and contractors as far as possible to benefit the project but always protecting the interests of the business.

You will be attending design team/site meetings, as and when required and providing input on Mechanical issues as necessary to ensure you are tracking design and contract progress and monitoring contractor and sub-contractor progress on site including procurement of all Mechanical plant and specialist design packages and delivery.

Our client is a very large property developer and main contractor in one. They are responsible for some of the most prestigious buildings in London at the moment.

You

In this role you will be representing one of the biggest companies in London and as such they require that you have:

Experience in an M&E Contractor as a Mechanical Construction Manager

Experience working on projects from £5m +

At least 5 years of experience as a Construction Manager

Preferably an HNC / HND or higher in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering but time served will also be acceptable.

Experience with computer software including all Microsoft office packages and outlook

Remuneration

My client are offering a salary of £65,000 – £75,000 with a very sizeable and generous package to the right candidate.
