HV System Owner Job, Weybridge

HV Systems Owner/ Engineer to join the Service and Maintenance side of one of the UK’s leading Building Services Contractors based in Surrey.

To take ownership and accountability of Weybridge HV system ensuring you are familiar with it and any operational issues associated with its operation and escalating as appropriate, while driving for industry best practice in service delivery.

Act as technical point of contact for the HV system
Liaising with the key stakeholders of the companies team to ensure you are aware of any HV system issues and to also ensure everyone within the companies team is fully briefed on any planned or ongoing HV work
Respond to Building Management System alarms on the equipment in your charge
Maintain open communication with the client to ensure they are aware of the current state of the site HV system
Be Able to react in an ever changing business environment
While carrying out their duties, the HV system owner should comply with all company and APHA SOP’s
Ensure the issue and appropriate controls within the Permit to Work systems in accordance with Safe Systems of work and IFM QHSE policies and procedures
Ensure that suitable and sufficient spares are available to carry out maintenance of the electrical plant
Ensure that comprehensive maintenance records are kept in the form of “Maximo” task sheets and in line with IFM quality system
Brief the company management team when an incident or defect could or will interrupt the site science programme
Lead any incident investigation in line with IFM incident response protocol and own remedial actions to closure for your system
Ensure you follow the Change Management Process
Complete all actions in line with company annual QSHE planner
Support the Client Awareness Visits (CAV) ensuring the compliance folders for your portfolio are up to date and populated as per the annual planner
Take line management responsibility for your team and follow company HR processes including induction and probation frame work and completion and checking of time sheets
Attend and contribute to client/supplier meetings
Deliver the correct standard of staff appraisals in line with company appraisal process
Ensure that professional and technical skills are maintained through a commitment to personal development and life-long-learning
Ensure a professional image of the company is presented to clients and visitors, and ensure excellence in customer service is delivered and promoted at all times
Embrace and lead a working ethos in line with IFM vision, values and site principals
Deliver your role in line with the site and IFM RACI matrix
Hold a company procurement card and follow the correct process
The successful candidate will be required to complete a security check
Be part of the On-Call engineering manager rota

Qualifications / Skills / Attributes

Must hold a “time served apprenticeship” ideally in Electrical Engineering
Must have a demonstrable background in a Maintenance environment
Must Have Authorised Person: HV / LV background
C&G 17th Edition
Knowledge on how to service/test of systems of highly specialised equipment
3 Phase electrical supplies knowledge
Strong and effective communication skills
Alarm systems
UPS backup systems
BMS Systems
Authorised Person: Electrical / HV
Must have a demonstrable background within the Containment Sector Have an understanding of health and safety and previously held Appointed Person position
