VB.NET/SQL Developer – Cardiff – Up to £42,000 per annum plus benefits

Our client is looking for an experienced VB.NET / SQL developer to join them at their technical HQ based in Cardiff. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong VB.NET/SQL developer to work for an international organisation who have had great success in their industry. As the Developer you will be responsible for implementing and developing bespoke systems for a number of international sites as well as supporting the business in the day to day running of their technical department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather user & business requirements and document the specification
  • Analyse and improve business processes
  • Analyse, design and develop effective systems to support required business processes
  • Support existing software systems
  • Configure, link and customise external software as required
  • Create advanced data reports
  • Maintain software project documentation and source code repositories

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Advanced proficiency with object oriented programming is essential
  • .Net 3.5/4 ( Windows/Web)/VB.net/Visual Studio
  • SQL 2005 – 2016
  • Transact – SQL STORED PROCEDURES
  • SSIS/SSRS is desirable
  • Office 2003/207/2010 VBA – Access/Excel
  • Microsoft Database maintenance & design – Analysis /Design/Architecture
  • Experience in designing integrated solutions in a distributed environment
  • End user ODBC methodology
  • Previous experience of Microsoft NAV or other ERP system along with experience in a manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
