A well-established, privately owned mechanical, electrical building services contractor are looking for an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an office-based role in North Kent, with projects predominantly within London.

The Electrical Contracts Manager

Reporting to the Contracts Director, the role will see you take control of projects from the pre-construction team through to handover. Projects will generally consist of schools, offices (fit out), hospitals and high-end residential. Project values are up to £2M, with multiple projects live at one time.

You will take the lead ensuring the projects are delivered to expectation. Duties will include short term programming, site logistics, supervising and managing engineers and subcontractors, ordering materials, providing technical advice and keeping a close eye on project spend to ensure profitability. You will also have oversight on project reporting, be confident to chair design team/client meetings and ensure strict health and safety standards are maintained.

The Company

Established for over 15 years, they are an expanding contractor in Mechanical and Electrical installations with projects in London and the surrounding counties. They are a smaller and agile business who focus on developing long-standing relationships with their clients ensuring repeat business. With well-appointed offices in North Kent, they want to appoint a key member of staff with long-term ambitions of directorship.

Experience

You will ideally have a track record leading teams to complete multiple electrical projects time and to budget

Knowledge of the full project life cycle with strong working knowledge of both mechanical and electrical services

Experience of relevant projects – i.e. commercial, education, healthcare, residential

Strong communication and leadership skills

Industry relevant qualifications – I.e. Degree qualifications/HNC advantageous, SMSTS, First Aid at Work, CSCS, 17th or 18th edition

Remuneration

The successful candidate can expect to receive a salary of up to £75,000 p.a. with a tailored travel package and discretionary bonus. Long-term, there will be opportunities to progress into a directorship role.
