Electrical Service & Maintenance Engineer – Mobile (Inside M25)

Call out – £150 per week (standby) plus paid overtime for hours worked

Purpose of the job:

My client are installers of Plumbing and Heating systems to large Residential Developments, working with main contractors and developers. With any new installation we have a duty to provide a 2 year warranty/aftercare service to the occupiers and developer.

The FM department provides this service on behalf of us and as such, we provide a customer focused aftercare service.

In addition to this we offer a similar service to other clients on residential developments that are out of warranty or were not installed by us.

We also offer our services to other sectors including; Education (schools & nurseries), Health (Small hospitals and clinics), Pubs & Restaurants, Hotels and Care homes.

For all of our clients, we offer a 24/7 365 day emergency service.

Our working areas are generally within the M25, but occasionally we work for clients outside of this area.

Key Accountabilities:

· Responsible for their conduct in client’s premises.

· Must complete job details using hand held PDA on the companies service and maintenance software

· Safe driving and upkeep of company vehicle

· Good timekeeping

· Good communication with office and customers

· Polite & well mannered

Scope of the job:

What kind of actions, decisions and/or recommendations is the jobholder personally responsible for on a regular basis?

  • To attend breakdowns reactive repairs and PPM service visits to a range of clients, including; residential and commercial.
  • Plumbing repairs to new builds and existing properties
  • PPM visits to HIU’s within domestic properties
  • Servicing of unvented hot water systems
  • Servicing and commissioning of mechanical ventilation and MVHR units
  • Tracing and rectifying leaks to heating hot and cold water systems
  • Tracing and rectifying leaks to soil and plumbing systems
  • Participation in out of hours call out rota

Key Skills Required.

  • Reliable with Excellent Time Keeping
  • Good Understanding of Plumbing and Heating Systems
  • An understanding or knowledge of Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Systems (HVAC)
  • Proven ability to work in a busy service orientated environment
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Excellent Communication Skills for dealing with customers and office staff members
  • Company & Client focused with a determination to succeed.
  • Smart Presentable Appearance
  • Ability to use hand held PDA and email packages
  • Clean driving licence
  • Preferably with CSCS card
  • Plumbing & Heating NVQ or City & Guilds qualification – – Advantageous but not essential
  • City & Guilds 2391 – Inspection & Testing
  • 18th Edition
  • Experience of working in a service and maintenance environment
  • Knowledge of new build Plumbing & Heating technology advantageous
