Electrical Project Engineer
The MEP division of a large, recognised main contractor are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their team on a large commercial project in South West London. This is a £30M design and build contract that is set to run for the next two years.
The Electrical Project Engineer
The key function of the electrical project engineer will be on providing a bridge between the design and project management teams in this site-based role. Key elements will focus on staff management, design management and quality assurance. Duties will include:
Assisting in organising project labour and materials to meet contractual programmes of works.
Project administration and Quality assurance – Handovers, technical submittals, RFI’s, Health & safety file updates, progress reporting, O&M manuals etc.
Assisting with communicating design and design changes to the project team.
Attending regular client/company/departmental meetings.
Assisting with ordering materials and raising the associated purchase orders.
Communication with the clients and suppliers to ensure that all requests are handled within the service level agreed, recorded in the systems and appropriate action is taken.
You will be required to report to the project manager, and have direct client liaison.
A well-established Building Services firm who have partnered with a Main Contractor, they are one of the industry’s most recognisable names with a reputation for embracing new tech to improve services. While they have an array of projects, they tend to be larger in scale so you could find yourself working on some of the most high-profile projects in the UK.
Experience in a similar role with a main contractor, or large building services contractor – Ideally with project experience on projects valued £10M+
Strong knowledge of electrical services – Both LV and HV
Exposure to consultancy environment advantageous
Ideally you will have formal qualifications I.e. Degree/HNC/HND/ONC – But those qualified through practical experience will also be considered.
Proficient in the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word & Outlook.
CSCS Card is essential, but SSSTS/SMSTS qualifications are advantageous.
Must possess right to work in the UK.
In return, the company can offer a base salary of up to £55,000 p.a. with a travel allowance, discretionary bonus, and contributory pension.
