Junior Electrical Project Engineer
A large M&E Building Services contractor are looking for a Junior Electrical Engineer to join their team on a large residential project in Central London. Producing over 500 new apartments, the project is underway and they are looking for someone to develop alongside a Senior Electrical Engineer.
The Junior Electrical Project Engineer
With this being a large project, the Senior Electrical Engineer requires a no.2 to work alongside them to help keep the project on track. The key focus will be providing a bridge between the design and project management teams in this site-based role. Key elements will focus on staff management, design management and quality assurance. Duties will include:
Assisting in organising project labour and materials to meet contractual programmes of works.
Project administration and Quality assurance – Handovers, technical submittals, RFI’s, Health & safety file updates, progress reporting, O&M manuals etc.
Assisting with communicating design and design changes to the project team.
Attending regular client/company/departmental meetings.
Assisting with ordering materials and raising the associated purchase orders.
Communication with the clients and suppliers to ensure that all requests are handled within the service level agreed, recorded in the systems and appropriate action is taken.
You will be required to report to the directors and project management team.

1-2 years in a similar position would be ideal, but they will consider graduates or people looking to progress their career.
Working knowledge of electrical services.
Ideally you will have formal qualifications I.e. Degree/HNC/HND/ONC – But those qualified through practical experience will also be considered.
Proficient in the MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word & Outlook.
CSCS Card is essential, but SSSTS/SMSTS qualifications are advantageous.
Exposure to large-scale residential projects advantageous.
Must have right to work in the UK.
In return, the company can offer a base salary of up to £35,000 p.a. with a travel allowance, discretionary bonus, contributory pension and 25 days annual leave.
