Mechanical Contracts Manager
A well-established, privately owned mechanical, electrical and public health building services contractor are looking for an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an office-based role in Kent, with projects across the South East.
Mechanical Contracts Manager
Reporting to the Operations Director, the role will see you take control of projects from the pre-construction team through to handover. Projects will generally consist of schools, offices (fit out), hospitals and high-end residential. Project values are up to £5M.
Reporting to the Operations Director, you will take the lead ensuring the project is delivered to expectation. Duties will include short term programming, site logistics, supervising and managing engineers and subcontractors, ordering materials, providing technical advice and keeping a close eye on project spend to ensure profitability. You will also have oversight on project reporting, be confident to chair design team/client meetings and ensure strict health and safety standards are maintained.
Established for over 20 years, they are an expanding contractor in Mechanical, Electrical and public health services with projects across the South East of England. Currently directly employing over 200 staff, the company have sustained sensible growth and enjoy a wealth of repeat clients. You will ideally have a track record leading teams to complete multiple mechanical projects or large-scale mechanical projects on time and to budget
Knowledge of the full project life cycle with strong working knowledge of both mechanical and electrical services
Experience of relevant projects – i.e. commercial, education, healthcare, residential
Strong communication and leadership skills
Experience is the most important factor but industry relevant qualifications are extremely advantageous – I.e. Degree qualifications/HNC, SMSTS, First Aid at Work, CSCS
The successful candidate can expect to receive a salary of up to £70,000 p.a. with a company car or car allowance, paid mileage, a contributory pension, up to five weeks annual leave, a company phone and laptop, and a discretionary bonus. There is also a private healthcare benefit provided after successfully passing probation.
