A well-established, privately owned plumbing & heating contractor in Kent are looking to add a Mechanical Foreman to their team for various residential projects in the area.
The Mechanical Foreman
Reporting to the Director, you will take the lead on new house building sites compromising of both open market housing and low-rise apartments. Working closely with the on-site management team, you will take the daily lead of a team of plumbers and engineers to keep the project on programme. This will include ordering materials, quality assurance, producing various reports, health & safety management and controlling costs relating to the job.
Generally, projects are large-scale schemes with PLC residential developers so a track record working with these companies is almost essential. With some smaller projects alongside these large ones, there may be a need to ‘chip in’ – so a practical background in plumbing on residential projects and a willingness to jump on the tools is essential.
The company are a regional contractor that focus on Kent and currently don’t work in London – So this might be ideal for someone looking to avoid commuting into The City.

A regional plumbing and heating business based in Kent, they work solely on new build residential projects with a mix of both PLC residential developers and SME builders. In addition, they now employ over 50 staff across the business and actively hire direct labour to ensure the highest possible quality of work.

Experience and Qualifications
Practical experience working on new build housing developments
Up to date Gas Safe qualification, along with minimum of a SSSTS and CSCS. SMSTS would be advantageous, but company are willing to finance this.
Valid driving license and own vehicle
Natural leadership and communication skills
Keen organisation and motivation skills
Zero tolerance attitude to health & safety
The successful candidate can expect to receive an annual salary of up to £50,000 p.a. with 28 days annual leave, company phone and a contributory pension. With lots of potential to grow alongside some of their key clients, there will be long-term opportunities to progress your career.
