An established, privately-owned Building Services contractor in Essex are currently looking for an ambitious Mechanical Manager to join their team to support their various London projects (up to £2M). This is a genuine opportunity to join an entrepeneurial business who are investing both time and resources to expand their mechanical offering to complement their strong electrical team.

The Mechanical Manager

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will assist in the day-to-day operations across sites in London. Duties will include short term programming, site logistics, managing engineers and subcontractors, ordering materials and logistics, producing RAMS, providing technical advice and keeping a close eye on project spend.

A division of a larger business, projects will consist of high end residential, education, luxury hotels, museums, heritage and commercial fit out up to £2M.

Established for over a decade, the company are a privately-owned Building Services contractor who are experiencing rapid growth. With an in-house project management, commercial and design team, they have an excellent reputation and continue to win repeat business from a number of key clients on projects generally within the M25. With plans in place to continue growing the business (particularly on the mechanical side), there is a real opportunity to be grabbed to set and develop your career.

Experience and Qualifications

Ambition and hunger to succeed and develop your career

Relevant mechanical qualifications advantageous (HNC, HND or Degree advantageous, but not essential)

Confident with knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems and ability to interpret and comment on designs

Relevant site qualifications including SMSTS or SSSTS, First Aid at Work and CSCS

Natural leadership and communication skills

Happy to travel across projects within the M25

Remuneration

The successful candidate can expect to receive an annual salary of up to £50,000 p.a. with travel expenses, a contributory pension, 20 days annual leave (increasing with time served). They also provide a dedicated training scheme to progress into a Project Management role as the mechanical division actively grows.
