Mechanical Project Engineer
A leading name in the M&E commercial fit out sector are looking for an experienced and reliable Mechanical Project Engineer to work an initial project in Berkshire and then join their London team on future projects in the City.
The Mechanical Project Engineer
With a new project secured in Berkshire, you will be joining an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of a £1M mechanical package on an education project. They key focus will be providing a bridge between the design and project management teams in this site-based role with oversight on design management, quality assurance and procurement. Duties will include to:
Organise project labour and materials to meet contractual programmes of works.
Cost and prepare tender returns as required.
Manage a CAD operator, or CAD team.
Attend regular company/departmental/progress/client meetings.
Ensure that all engineers complete paperwork as required.
You will ensure to the best of your ability, that all project contracts are kept within budget and provide the require profits margins.
Order materials and raise the associated purchase orders and ensure each job is invoiced accordingly.
Communication with the clients and suppliers to ensure that all requests are handled within the service level agreed, recorded in the systems and appropriate action is taken.
You will be required to report to the directors and project management team.
You will need to be fully conversant with duct, ventilation, AC services with some knowledge of public health and drainage is required.
Experience and Qualifications
Previous experience of a Project Engineer role
Happy to work in London beyond the completion of this project.
Possess HNC or higher in Mechanical Engineering / Building Services Engineering or the equivalent in time served within the industry is a must.
Relevant site qualifications I.E. CSCS card
Must either be a UK resident or possess current rights to work in the UK.
In return, the company can offer a base salary of up to £40,000 p.a. with a travel allowance, discretionary bonus, contributory pension and 25 days annual leave.
