Mechanical Project Manager

A leading mechanical and electrical contractor are seeking an established Mechanical Project Manager for a major commercial project in South West London. With completion targets set for late 2021, this is both a high-profile and long-term project.

The Role

Providing support to the Project Director, the role be site based ensuring the project is delivered to expectations; meeting goals for programme, quality, safety and profit. You will play a pivotal role in seeing the project through from late pre-construction through to handover working closely with the Project Director, Quantity Surveyor and internal Design team. This will be achieved through effective sub-contractor management, a collaborative approach to cost management, and effective organisation.

The project is worth in excess of £25m M&E value, and you will ideally have previous experience working on projects of a similar scale.

With a turnover in excess of £200m, the company have enjoyed great success over the last few years with a number of large projects secured. While this project is commercially focused, they cover a range of sectors and can provide a range of career development options – that could even provide opportunities to work internationally.

Experience and Qualifications

Proven track record as a Mechanical Project Manager

Previous experience in large commercial projects

Strong working knowledge of full mechanical services, particularly of pipework and ductwork

Relevant mechanical qualifications (NVQ, HNC, HND or Degree advantageous, but not essential)

Relevant site qualifications including SMSTS, First Aid at Work and CSCS

Natural leadership and communication skills

Remuneration

In return, the company are budgeting a salary of up to £80,000 p.a. with a generous benefits package, and excellent career development opportunities.
