A well-established Building Services contractor are looking for an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to join their team on a large high-rise residential scheme in East London. This project, for a recognised residential developer, consists of both mechanical and electrical packages for a large, modern, high-rise residential tower block in the Canary Wharf/Docklands area and has a package valued at £10m.

A well-established Building Services contractor are looking for an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to join their team on a large high-rise residential scheme in East London. This project, for a recognised residential developer, consists of both mechanical and electrical packages for a large, modern, high-rise residential tower block in the Canary Wharf/Docklands area and has a package valued at £10m.

The Mechanical Site Manager

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will have the lead on day-to-day site activity. You will organise and manage sub-contractors undertaking work, ensure progress against the master program, have oversight on quality assurance, help produce RAMS, provide technical advice, ensure strict health and safety standards, and support the project team as needed.

Established for almost 20 years, they are an expanding Building Services contractor with a strong presence in London and across the UK. Having had another successful year, they are enjoying a number of new project wins, with projects across the commercial, residential, retail and mission critical sectors. With plans in place to continue progressing sensibly, there will be medium term opportunities to progress your career as part of a friendly and focused team.

Experience and Qualifications

Relevant mechanical qualifications (NVQ, HNC, HND or Degree advantageous, but not essential)

Relevant site qualifications including SMSTS or SSSTS and CSCS supervisor card. First Aid at Work is advantageous

Natural leadership and communication skills

A track record of leading teams of trades on a range on residential mechanical installations – plumbing and ventilation knowledge essential

Remuneration

The successful candidate can expect to receive an annual salary of up to £50,000 p.a. depending on experience with travel expensed, a contributory pension and internal training. With residential projects becoming a key focus, there will be some excellent opportunities to prove yourself and earn promotion in the medium term.
