A well-established, privately owned, mechanical and electrical building services contractor are looking for a Mechanical Supervisor to join their team on a large new build residential project in East London. This permanent role will likely suit someone with practical on the tools experience who is looking to progress into management, or someone early in their management career.

A well-established, privately owned, mechanical and electrical building services contractor are looking for a Mechanical Supervisor to join their team on a large new build residential project in East London. This permanent role will likely suit someone with practical on the tools experience who is looking to progress into management, or someone early in their management career.

The Mechanical Supervisor

Reporting to the Mechanical Project Manager, you will take control of the day-to-day running of the contract. This will include supervising a team of operatives to ensure work is kept on programme, to cost and is done so safely. This will include both shell and core, and fit out elements. You will also have a key role in quality assurance, and communicate designs to your team. You will also be required to keep up to date reports for attendance, progress and test and inspection records.

The project will ultimately deliver over 450 high-end apartments with leisure facilities and a front of house area.

Established for over 100 years, the company are a recognised name in Mechanical and Electrical contracting. They work across a range of sectors, but focus heavily on residential projects in London and the surrounding counties. With a turnover generally around the £50m mark, they have an established and stable team in place and are steadily growing delivering projects for some of the UK’s best main contractors and residential developers.

Experience

Residential project experience with strong working knowledge of plumbing and heating services

SSSTS

First Aid at Work

Relevant mechanical/plumbing qualifications – NVQ, City and Guilds etc.

PASMA and Testing & Inspection certifications preferred, but not essential

Excellent communication skills and understanding of mechanical works

Remuneration

The successful candidate can expect to receive a salary of up to £40,000 p.a. with 23 days annual leave and enrolment into their contributory pension scheme. With a number of staff with the business in excess of 10 years, they have a proven track record of promoting those with the ambition and willingness to put in the hard work.
