Copy Writer / Media Manager

Contract Length: min 6 months

Location: Bristol preference or Nottingham as a back up

Pay Rate: £375 umbrella rate per day

The HEO media manager (corporate) will oversee a plan to raise awareness – who we are and what we do – across industry and government including drafting media articles and blogs to support that plan. The role will also prepare for and lead a refreshed social media strategy and manage all media relations that do not align to a strategic theme (eg corporate digital, HR, estates, industrial relations etc).

The role will also provide a highly-responsive reactive media handling capability, as well as proactively creating and seeding stories, and developing quality direct-to-consumer content using digital and social media. The media manager will ensure all communications activity is insight-driven and fully evaluated

Based in either our Nottingham or Bristol sites, the role of Media Manager is extremely varied from handling media enquiries and leading on regional campaigns, managing our social media accounts including emails and blogs, to overseeing filming bids and production companies.

About you To be successful in this role you must have good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to write clearly and simply, using plain English with. It is essential that you are fluid in your approach to tasks and thought processes as last minute changes could change the focus of a piece of work. The ability to identify key pieces of information and compose them into concise yet informative statements is also a requirement as well as being able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
