FCU Engineer, London (Night Shift)

Job Description

FCU/AC & Building Services Night Engineer- Mainly Central London – Commercial Office Building’s

Job Specification:

We are looking for an enthusiastic engineer with initiative to work out-of-hours to carry out mainly FCU and AC servicing and occasionally other building services works ie emergency light tests etc

You would work Mon – Thurs evenings from 4:30pm to 3am (10hr shift) but contactable from 3:30pm to allow for communication with the office prior to your shift.

You would be working with a trainee, where possible, in order to avoid lone working.

Experience of Planned & Reactive Works across FCU and DX systems

Sound understanding and experience of meeting health and safety obligations with regard to maintenance activities

Air Conditioning Outdoor/Indoor Unit Servicing


Desirable Skills (but not required)

F-Gas Qualifications

Electrical Fault Finding

BMS Operational Knowledge


25 days pro-rata per annum plus Bank Holidays

Fully expensed company van

Credit card for expenses

Death in Service Benefit: 2 x base salary

Have a “CAN DO” attitude

Able to work under pressure.

Must be physically fit and able to carry tools and equipment by hand up to 20kg.

Able to ascend/descend vertical access equipment.

Able to work at height.

Committed to the delivery of excellent customer service.

Must hold a full UK Driving licence.

About you

To be considered for this role, you must hold a trade certificate (plumbing and electrical based would be preferred) and you will have at least two years’ experience in a similar role.

Previous experience in building services/FM engineering environment

Experience of electrical, mechanical heating, cooling & ventilation

Effective communicator, both verbally and written

Strong health and safety mindset
