My client are a dynamic independent specialist providing a wide range of mechanical and electrical solutions to the commercial and industrial sectors. These range from basic consultancy to complete project management and commissioning and cover all M&E disciplines.

Due to fantastic levels of growth over the past year they are now seeking an experience Office Manager to join their team based in Hatfield, supporting company operations by maintaining office systems and facilities, with a strong leaning towards accounting assistance / bookkeeping.

As the Office Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Day to day organisation and coordination of the office
  • Maintain office/administrative procedures, processes and standards
  • Maintain and order stationery supplies
  • Manage the maintenance of equipment and furniture
  • Ensure the office is presentable for clients and employees
  • Coordinate health and safety requirements within the office
  • Management of office expenditure
  • Bookkeeping / accounting assistance
  • Oversee the induction process for new staff
  • Dealing with phone calls, correspondence, complaints and queries
  • Provide business management administrative support for directors as necessary
  • Coordinate purchase orders and invoices
  • Liaising with various departments within the business
  • Management of premises documentation and ensure services renewals are dealt with

Experience Required

  • Significant experience in bookkeeping, customer services and administration
  • Highly efficient with an organised approach to work, excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow processes
  • A confident, enthusiastic, proactive and self-motivated team player with the flexibility and pace required to work effectively in a small team in a fast paced and often pressurised environment
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent time management, dealing with and supporting the team in working to constantly changing workload and fixed deadlines
  • Highly IT literate with a good knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • A good level of education
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a busy team
