A recognised M&E contractor are looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join their team on a high-profile project in South West London. They will play a key role in delivering a £20M MEP package for a project set to run until mid-2021.

The Mechanical Project Engineer

With a new project secured with one of the UK’s busiest main contractors, you will be joining an experienced Project Management team to support the delivery of a £20M MEP package on this high-profile mixed used scheme. They key focus will be providing a bridge between the design and project management teams in this site-based role with oversight on design management, quality assurance and procurement. Pre-construction will take place until April 2020 and the role will then remain site based.

Duties will include to:

Manage the design process from pre-construction through to handover, including assisting with procuring various items, technical submittals and 3D model review.

Be the focal point for both the client and externals consultants for all things mechanical.

Organise project labour and materials to meet contractual programmes of works.

Attend regular company/departmental/progress/client meetings.

Preparation of T&I and commissioning reports.

Ensure that all engineers complete paperwork as required.

You will need to be fully conversant with various mechanical systems including HVAC, smoke extract, CHW/LTHW and sprinklers.

Experience and Qualifications

Possess HNC or degree in Mechanical Engineering / Building Services Engineering or the equivalent in time served within the industry is a must. Ideally you will have 5+ years of practical post-graduate experience

Exposure to large (£10M+) projects with a background in commercial projects

Must either be a UK resident or possess current right to work in the UK
