I have an opportunity for a Mechanical Project Manager to join a fast track CAT A and CAT B, design and build, leading fit out contractor based in Central London with a turnover of £30million+. My client provides fit out, design and build mechanical services, operating mainly in the commercial sector.

The Mechanical Project Manager The role of Mechanical Project Manager will involve running a fast track fit out project in an office block.

As a Mechanical Project Manager you would be joining an established business who have carved a niche service in the London market. The projects you will be engaging in will be fully Design and Build, Commercial Fit Out’s between £3m and 8m.

The Company

The client is a growing M&E contractor established 30 years ago whose mechanical arm has now been running for the last 5 years with an ever growing order book and turnover. With a clear 3 year plan for growth, this family run company is going from strength to strength turning over £30+ a year.

Experience

Ideally you are going to have a proven track record of delivering multiple projects on time and under budget in a similar role.

At least 5 years’ experience as a Mechanical Project Manager in a similar contractor.

You will have previous experience in working on commercial projects. The sites you will be expected to work on may be occupied buildings, so some weekend and evening work may be required.

Time served and relevant mechanical qualifications.

For the role you would need to have worked in mechanical contractor of a similar size, dealing with fast office fit out projects between £3m and £8m.

The work would be based in London after the initial project was completed.

Having an HNC or higher in Mechanical Engineering / Building Services Engineering or the equivalent in time served within the industry is a must.

  • CDM experience (Principle contractor roles)
  • Understanding RIBA and design development processes
  • Pre-construction involvement/experience
  • First Aid
  • SMSTS
  • Understanding of construction elements – builders work in connection to engineering.
