Sustainability Consultant – Building Services

An award winning Environmental and Sustainability Consultants currently have a vacancy for an experienced Sustainability Professional to join their Nottingham Office. They’re a multidisciplinary consultancy offering a wide range of services to the construction industry, including but not limited to – BREEAM Consultancy and Assessment, Energy Assessment, Thermal Modelling, Low and Zero Carbon Consultancy, Ecology, Transport Services etc

The Role:

As an experienced consultant you will have worked in a multidisciplinary consultancy and have first class experience in sustainability, and a strong knowledge of the built environment. You will have a minimum of 3 years experience within the discipline. As an experienced consultant you will have a proven track record of working with IESVE and all of its current modules including VE/SBEM, ApachSIM, Radiance, Flux producing professional reports.

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Head of Environmental and provide consultancy services on various projects from inception through to completion. The candidate will be expected to hit the ground running and manage a strong and varied workload. They’ll also be required to help train junior members of staff.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level in related discipline – Essential
  • NDEA (Non Domestic Energy Assessor) LEVEL 3/4/5 – Essential
  • SAP Assessor – Essential
  • Low Carbon Consultant – Essential
  • IESVE Qualified – Desirable
  • MSc in a construction or environmental related discipline – Desirable
  • Qualified BREEAM Assessor – Desirable

Experience:

  • Experience producing planning, BREEEAM and Building Regulation submissions – Essential
  • Ability to work under own initiative and manage large workloads – Essential
  • Minimum 3 years of experience, working as a consultant in the discipline – Essential
  • Chairing meetings with large design teams – Essential
  • Managing projects from inception to completion – Essential
  • Generating business and new clients – Desirable
  • Managing junior consultants – Desirable

Skills:

  • Competent in MS Office and other IT applications, including AutoCAD – Essential
  • Professional Report writing – Essential
  • Working to tight deadlines and high standards – Essential
